Jonna's Baby!!!!!!

Jonna has a new puppy!!!!!!! For Jonna's 13th birthday (March 30th), we decided to get her a cute little lap dog - one she's been wanting for EVER!!!!!!

Belle came to us last night -- she is a black toy poodle and being a die-hard hound lover, I can't believe how ga ga we all are over this cute little thing! She is just so adorable and wants to sit at your feet or is content to lay in your lap and go to sleep. She DOES play though and is so cute doing it -- hopping around like a little bunny and skidding out on our concrete floors!

We and especially Jonna are thrilled to have her in our family. The other animals are not so sure!

Jonna Auditions for Region

Last Sat. our very own Jonna Hardy auditioned for the Regional Choir AND MADE IT!!!! This is soooo great especially since she was battling allergies and couldn't talk very well, much less SING! We are so very proud of her and excited for her performance next Sat.

Gala Night

Rob and I went to the Dell Children's Hospital Gala on 1/19. It was at the Austin Convention Center and was very nice. The one auction item we REALLY wanted (but could NO WAY bid on) was a performance with Asleep At The Wheel at your home with catering for 40 by The County Line BBQ! Wow! We would've been the talk of the town deluxe!!!!

Anyway, the ladies were beautiful in all kinds of swanky dresses and men handsome in their tuxes. Rob and I weren't too shabby either!!!!

Weekend News 1/26

Rob and Helen went to the Capital Area Quarter Horse Assoc. Open Horse show is Austin. Helen participated riding Max and placed in every event she entered . . . again!!!! This is really good news because this show is a "step" above what she's been entering and though she didn't win any blue ribbons, placing at all is a big win! The big surprise of the day is she won a buckle for novice high point at the end of the show AND a $125 jackpot!!!!

Just to remind you . . . high point is won by the cumultive points associated with the placings won in each event. I think because she enters so many events using one horse, she gets high point without having to win 1st or 2nd place every time! Strategy!!!!!!!

She had her picture taken and it will be on the CAQHA web page - I'll let you know when.

Unfortunately, I was home sick . . . I mean REALLY sick and couldn't be there. I called every few hours though to see how she was doing.

Wizard also went for the day, just to see and be seen! We're trying to sell him and it helps to get him to these shows in case someone is interested. We have had one person ask about him from the web page on him and she wants to see him this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed!

News about Jonna . . . this weekend Jonna is trying out for Region Choir. I'll be there chaperoning, so I'll know right away how she does. Pray for her!
